Is the diagnostic really free?

Yes. Looking at your device, figuring out what is wrong, and telling you what we found costs nothing. Repair work is quoted separately, and no paid work begins until you approve the estimate. There is no fee for hearing bad news, and no fee if you decide not to move forward.

Do I need an appointment?

No. You can drop a device off any time during business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Calling ahead at (765) 372-4190 is helpful if your situation is unusual, because we can tell you exactly what to bring with the device.

What should I bring with my computer?

Bring the power adapter, and the login password or PIN if you have one. For a laptop, the charger alone is usually enough. For a desktop, the tower is what we need — you can leave the monitor, keyboard, and mouse at home unless the problem involves them.

I do not know how to describe the problem. Is that a problem?

Not at all. "It is slow," "it makes a noise," or "a box keeps popping up" is plenty to start with. Part of our job is translating what you noticed into what is actually happening. There are no bad questions here and no wrong words.

How long will my repair take?

It depends on the problem and whether parts are needed. Many software issues turn around in a day or two; hardware that needs an ordered part takes longer. We give you a realistic time frame once we have looked at the device, and we tell you if that changes rather than letting you wonder.

Can you fix any computer?

No, and we will say so early. Some machines are too old, too damaged, or too expensive to repair sensibly. When repair does not make financial sense, we tell you honestly and help you weigh fixing it against replacing it.

Not without your say-so. If we open a machine and find something we could not see during the diagnostic, we stop, call you, and explain the new option. You approve or decline before anything else happens.

You do not pay for a diagnostic, and you do not pay for repair work that did not succeed. For data recovery specifically, if we attempt a recovery and nothing is recovered, you do not pay a dime for the attempt.

Ask us — genuinely. We compare the repair cost against what a comparable replacement would run and tell you which way we would go if it were ours. Talking you out of a repair that is not worth it is a normal part of the job.

Often, yes. We do basic file recovery from computers, hard drives, SSDs, external drives, and USB storage. We are not a clean-room laboratory, so we cannot promise specific files, and we say so up front rather than after taking your money. If nothing is recovered, there is no charge for the attempt.

Yes. We clean out malware and unwanted programs, then walk you through what let it in and how to avoid a repeat. We do not upsell a subscription you do not need.

My computer is loud and runs hot. Can that be fixed?

Usually. Dust buildup and dried thermal paste are extremely common, and a proper internal cleaning with fresh thermal service often brings noise and temperatures back down. We check fans and airflow while we are in there.

Yes. We build desktops for gaming, streaming, and creative work around your budget and performance goals. You are also welcome to buy the parts yourself and bring them in for assembly, and we upgrade existing builds — cooling, CPU, RAM, GPU, power supply, and case swaps.
